Take One, Day 22 :: Polka Dot Shirt

Let's talk about this shirt. Looking at the photos, it occurs to me it might not be the most flattering piece I own. But in real life, it's SO CUTE YOU GUYS. I guess I'm stuck on spots lately. I picked this up from XXI for the specific idea that I'd wear it to this meeting, and I was glad to have it this week.

I threw on these burgundy cords after we finished work stuff and walked to meet some of my co-workers at Easy Tiger, this cool little beer garden type place with ping pong tables and giant delicious pretzels. Then BB and I walked all over downtown Austin looking for some place to eat, so I put these wedge sneakers through the ringer and I'm happy to report they're still ridiculously comfortable.

Top, Forever 21.
Pants, Forever 21 (way old though).
Shoes, ShoeDazzle.
Necklace, BaubleBar.
Coat, Gap.

Take One, Day 21 :: Black Pencil Skirt

I've remixed a black pencil skirt once in this challenge. Would you believe me if I told you this was a different skirt? I picked it up at TJ Maxx or Marshall's or one of those such establishments in the clearance section for $4. It has cute little zippers on the sides (huzzah for fun details) and it's made of JERSEY which means it feels like yoga pants, looks like business. Does it get better than that?

I basically rolled out of bed after a late night and threw this combo together for a long meeting today. It was comfy enough for sitting for a few hours but dressy enough that I felt at home in a room full of educators and administrators. Side note, BB spent the day at his Austin office today so I attempted to take my own pics on the street before heading off for happy hour with a few co-workers, and man, there is nothing more terrible or awkward. I tried my best - this is what happened.

Blouse, Forever 21.
Skirt, Super sale.
Belt, Target and it's really, really old.
Shoes, Sole Society.

Take One, Day 20 :: Office Chambray

This could be called a "day to night" look of sorts, because after a day of patios and shopping, I threw on this skirt with my chambray shirt and went to a work reception and dinner. I like easy work looks that don't look too stuffy for going out after, and I'd say this fit the bill pretty well. Also, hello, it's Austin and I want to fit in so I wore a denim shirt. Thanks to a mid-day costume change, this is also the first time I've actually gotten ahead in this challenge and got to schedule a post. So I already know what I'm wearing for the next remix - it's kind of like knowing the future.

Surprise leopard heels! I love these wedges because they're very comfortable, and all business in the front, party in the back.

Skirt, TJ Maxx or Marshall's or something. It was like $4 20 million years ago
Belt, Goodwill (one of my favorite finds ever)
