Steve Madden is coming to Little Rock!

Amah-zing news, darlings! The man behind the brand, Steve Madden, is coming to Dillard's this weekend in Little Rock for a little meet and greet. This is so maj.

I mean, come on. How can I not have a soft spot for the man who brought us these?
Every freaking girl at my Junior High had some variation of these slide sandals. We all wore them feeling so grown up every day until they started smelling weird. Oh, the 90's. You were a gift to us.

My first pair of "official work pumps" were Steve Madden. They were simple and demure - a black leather pointy toe pump perfect for business or play. They looked great with jeans or a suit. I wore them to my first official job interview (I got the job, by the way).

I was distraught when I finally had to let them go. They were well worn and the most fabulous reasonable heel height, so I hope someone found them at Goodwill and loved them just as much as I did.

And y'all know his collab with Rachel Bilson for ShoeMint is my jam.

No one does leopard like my boo Steven. These Jolly booties have a solid rotation in my closet and I will literally wear them to the grave.

Okay, well, I think we've established that Steve Madden is awesome and we all love what he does and meeting him would be cool, right? Well, here are the deets.

Party Hopping :: Say Hello to Versona!

Every now and again I get invited to various events around Little Rock (blogger perk?) and today it was the grand opening of Versona Accessories in Midtown! It opened today right next to the new Ulta (dude. Midtown is happening these days!) and they invited my friend Sandra and me to come and check it out.

What do you wear to a store opening? Well, pretty much what I wore all day. I've been dying to break out these Sole Society booties and this BaubleBar necklace, and I figured bold accessories were the way to go when visiting a store that sells them.

I got about 8 million compliments on this necklace. It's so much bigger than I thought it would be (always a good thing) and I'm just dying over the color. BaubleBar does it again!

Bouts to get our shop on! Yeah!

Alright, so here's the deal with Versona. It's way more than I even expected - jewelry, shoes, scarves, belts, bags...even clothes. Everything is color coordinated which is awesome. I picked up a weird bird ring that matched my outfit and a little something for my friend's birthday...and something for you guys!

BASKETS! PS, first 500 get a free tote with a $50 purchase so you know I was all over that.

Yep, check it out, I absolutely love this little bauble and I thought you would too! All you have to do to win it is - Like AJWearsClothes on Facebook, and leave a comment saying you did (or that you already do). It would be helpful if you followed the blog somehow as well, so I know you're not a freeloader. Oh, you know what, when you comment leave your email address so I can track you down when you win. It's that easy. I'll choose a winner next week but full disclosure, I may not be able to send it off before my wedding as things might get crazy.

Like. Comment. Win! And make sure you go visit Versona if you're in LR, I think you're in for a treat!

Jacket, top, XXI. Jeggings, Limited. Booties, Helena by Sole Society. Necklace, BaubleBar. Bag, Botkier for Target.

What I Wore :: Wedding Shower

It officially feels like we've kicked off our wedding countdown. We had our first wedding shower this weekend thrown where I grew up in Longview, Texas. It was such a blast. I spent weeks trying to find the perfect wedding shower dress. I wanted something girly and fun, so I was pleased as punch when I found this striped dress from The Limited - in my colors, no less!

I think I've decided that a fuller, a-line style skirt is more me than any other. I loved the shape of this dress online.

My groom, ready to open some gifts! He was so excited to see a nice big crockpot in the mix. He's been wanting a roast, but I told him we have to wait until we've actually tied the knot to use anything. I know, I'm so mean.

My sister and Chesley practice their posing for the big day. Ches prefers me taller than her and quit the wedding when I told her I'd be wearing flats. I promised to stand on my tiptoes.

Look at these adorable cupcakes! They had my future last initial on them. And they were delicious. And I LOVE cupcakes!
