What I Wore :: Rehearsal Dinner

This blog is so much more than just a collection of what I wore - I feel the where I wore it is almost more important. Yes, I try to tell you guys exactly what I did in everything I put on so that you can get ideas and get inspired - but I'm also creating a personal archive of some major parts of my life. Tonight was one of those nights.

This is the lovely Vera Wang dress I picked for my wedding rehearsal. Clearly, I was going for something a little understated. I love the ruffle flowers and felt like a princess all night long, exactly how I think a bride should feel.

PS - I love that it looks so similar to the bridesmaid dresses from Blair's wedding on Gossip Girl! Vera Wang was the designer for all of the dresses in that scene, but mine's a little more affordable as it's from her David's Bridal collection.

Some of my beautiful bridesmaids! I can't wait to show you what THEY look like in the wedding...too, too fab.

A happy bride.

And here's my handsome groom in Joseph A Banks! He's going to look pretty sharp today too, I can't wait for y'all to see his shoes. He's a pretty stylish dude.

Anyway, I'm so excited to get married today and share the experience with you guys! I know what you're thinking - what kind of bride has time on her wedding day to blog? A crazy one. And one that wakes up at the crack of dawn. Posting will be sporadic from this point on for a week as I will be in Mexico soaking it up, so stick with me :)

Love you all!

Dress: White by Vera Wang. Shoes, Zara. Ring, JewelMint.

What I Wore :: A little Ikat

Today was full of little wedding errands and things. It all happens tomorrow! I'm one day from being Mrs. Blake and I couldn't be more excited. I have to be honest, I really feel like I should be doing a lot more right now, but all I have to really do today is get my hair cut, get my nails done, and show up to the rehearsal dinner. BOOM.

 Errand running, wedding crafts, and of course, a few last minute work projects calls for something comfy but cute, so I chose one of my softest, most wonderful comfy tees in a fun ikat print, some bright yellow pants to channel sunny skies for Saturday, and my new Sole Society booties because let's face it, they're awesome.

 Um, what's that? This isn't a practical day to day outfit? Shut up. Then my friends and I went and bought wine and cheeseburgers and had my last free single night together.

 Ugh. How amazing are these booties? NAVY. SO MAJ. I love them. I love them in an unhealthy way, in the kind of way where you wear them to bed and maybe cuddle a little and wake up smelling like feet. Ugh. They're so cool, in an Austin Powers meets Nina Garcia kind of way. LOVE.

Oh, what's that? We missed Awkward and Awesome Thursday? NEVER FEAR. Here's a ridiculous awesome and awkward photo of me almost falling over. Why? Because I'm a terrible klutz and for some reason almost fell over while standing still. YOU ARE WELCOME.

Okay - little house keeping - I'm planning on posting a What I Wore for our rehearsal dinner tonight, and hopefully a few little wedding details, but then I'm off to Mexico for the next week! If I were a good and responsible blogger, I would have lined up some guest bloggers but as it stands, I'm not, because I was planning a wedding (I know, excuses, excuses) so I can only promise to try and post some honeymoon shots while I'm out! I think we get 30 minutes of wifi a day, and I would be so honored to use them all on you.

Oh, PS, top, Francesca's Collections. Jeans, XXI. Booties, Sole Society. Necklace, Vintage. Hair, a little grody at this point.

What I Wore :: Sequins & Sushi

If you've read this blog long enough, you may have heard me mentioned that I love a little sparkle. This sequin sweatshirt is just enough shine without being obnoxious for every day.

 Today's outfit went to the post office, mall (to get new sunnies for my upcoming vacay) a meeting with our wedding photog and sushi with dear friends. See? The less shiny sequins are perfect for day or night, and the casual cut of a sweatshirt like this one makes them a lot more versatile. I love pieces that are dressy casual like that.

 Awkward look. I am the master of the awkward look, especially if there is a flash being used. I waited a little late to take any pics and it got dark outside. Go figure!

Legs and these wonderful JustFab heels. I call them my Barbie heels.

Sweatshirt, Banana Republic. Shorts, XXI. Heels, JustFab.
