Three Ways to Wear :: JustFab's Floral Denim

Occasionally I like putting together multiple looks using one piece. I do this on polyvore all the time when I'm bored, actually. But it's fun to create something new using what you find in your closet and making the most out of your wardrobe. JustFab sent me these fun printed skinnies and instead of just wearing them, I wanted to put together three ideas (since everyone isn't me). Actually, the idea of a "lookbook" came from my blogger friend Kat, who makes the most beautiful layouts. I've been playing with it on photoshop and it's pretty easy for me to run into the bedroom, put together a new look, run out to the garage and shoot it on a white backdrop. And I like the way it looks. So thanks for the inspo, Kat :)

Look 1 :: Printed denim might not be appropriate for ALL work places, but anyone in a creative field or casual work environment could wear a funky print with a blazer. This look is also something I'd wear to brunch, coffee, client meetings, etc. It's a way to dress up a trendier piece. I also liked a bright color with the dark print.

Look 2 :: Something I'd throw on for errands or to run to the dog park. Clearly I need a new favorite white tee, this one is not that flattering...but I like wearing a scarf or bold necklace over a slouchy tee to give it some interest. Flats or tennis shoes finish off the look.

Look 3 :: Okay, after I put together all of the looks, I wished that I had either used a bright blazer for the work look (instead of black) or something else here. I think these pants can be styled beyond black and white, but those are definitely the easiest to grab. I wanted to put these with my leather peplum but y'all have seen that a lot lately. So this is my party/concert/going out with girlfriends look.

So there you have it. Three ways to wear some floral(ish) printed denim. Boom. If you want some to play with, JustFab has this print and like a zillion others on their website. I'm loving the new fits of the printed denim and eyeing the painter's palette for my next purchase! They're a soft, stretchy material that I think is TTS for most prints and pretty comfortable.

Guest Blogging :: Coopers Closet

HAY friends! I'm really excited to be guest blogging for Sarah over at Coopers Closet today. She asked me to fill in while she's on vacay and I chose to showcase florals...get this....for SPRING. But instead of going flower crazy, I took one of my favorite basic outfits and showed three ways to add a bit of floral using accessories so you don't look like a crazy garden gnome.

Hop on over there, check it out, and leave her nice notes to read when she gets back!

JustFab Denim Party PLUS Giveaway!

  I'm really excited to be teaming up with JustFab today to show off their new spring denim. I've always been a huge fan (seen here, here, here, and here...along with a dozen others). Their new spring denim might be the BEST YET - I'm not exaggerating. I couldn't wait to get my hands on the new ombre denim and try my hand at styling it a few ways for you guys. Plus, they gave me a few credits to hand out! I tried to put together a dressy outfit, casual every day outfit, and something to look forward to once spring finally comes in.

Not every night out has to be over-the-top fancy - I love using a fun jacket and a little sparkle to dress up jeans for dinner and drinks.

I always like to throw a super casual look into a three ways post, because I know most people dress for comfort and I like showing how versatile a piece can be. This happens to be one of my favorite sweaters - I have no idea why I bought it but I used to leave it in my desk at work because it was so warm and cozy. The jeans are so stretchy I think they'd be perfect for studying or lounging in a cozy wrap sweater and t-shirt.

It's so close to warmer weather, I had to try and style a spring-ish type outfit so you had some ideas moving forward. I think the ombre jeans will look SO FUN with some florals and chambray - and as it turns out, both! This spring I'll probably style these with a white tee, slouchy pink tank, or my striped blazer. Wear these jeans just like you would any colored denim, but keep it a little simple so you're not competing with the ombre.

JustFab's spring denim line so far includes the ombre in two colors, a fantastic floral, two colors of tuxedo jeans, and those adorable contrasting cuff jeans. I want them all! They also plan on releasing even more denim all spring! As far as fit, I ordered the same size as I normally do in JF denim (27) and they're pretty close to how I like my jeans to fit. The fabric is a little thinner than the signature skinny solid colors, and has more stretch (for those of you who have ordered before).

Okay! In love? Totally convinced? Here's the fun part! JustFab offered up THREE giftcards to give away to my darling blog friends, so just enter below and I'll be announcing the winner after the giveaway ends on Friday.
