AJ Wears :: A denim jacket

A denim jacket is one of those things I think you should never get rid of. If you find one you love, in a classic style, that thing will always come back. I bought this one at Gap during college and wore it at least once a week back then. When denim went the way of those shirts that grew three sizes when you put them on (seriously, what was up with that?), I put it in the back of my closet and waited.

And here we are today. I sometimes wish that I'd gotten one that was a little less stiff and a little more classic and casual, but I love the unique shape of this one and how easily it goes over a cute printed dress.

I've also been excited to pull these bracelets out again. I love them. They were a handmade wedding gift from the artist, but I recently found out she's selling them on Anthro's website now!

Okay, enough useful talk, now here's a story about these shoes. They were a hot topic tonight! I never know what makes a pair worth discussing, but these got a lot of attention. One of the girls at the Apple store suggested we make a trade, but didn't have any iPad minis to barter with so they went home with me. It's all for the best. I kind of like these shoes, regardless of how ridiculous my husband might think they are.

AJ Wears :: A printed skirt

I've never understood what was classified as "sportswear". It looks like blazers and skirts and khakis to me, but if you asked me what sportswear was, I'd probably say yoga pants. I could google it, but I'm a very busy blogger and have absolutely no time for malarkey like that. The end of this story is, I think these sandals are sporty. Like little basketballs or something. I don't know why, but that's why I'm describing this outfit as sporty. But it's a skirt...so it's also sweet. Get it?

This skirt arrived this weekend from Amazon and I loooooove it. Originally sold for $90, I snagged it for $20. I'm looking to add more fun skirts into my wardrobe, and this one is much nicer than anything I would have found at Forever. Yay, look at me, I'm trying to be versatile and make smarter purchases. Hurrah!

Fun necklace made of rings. I could take it apart and wear them if I wanted to, but then I wouldn't have a necklace. Today we hit up Gap friends and family sale and then ate some burritos at Moe's. This is what you wear  when you do that. LIVING THE DREAM.

AJ Wears :: Floral Pants

I don't remember where on the internet I declared I would be filling my closet with more pants in this shape, but I did, and so it will be. I went to Target for mustard and Dr Pepper and came home with these fantastic floral pants that are just too cool for school.

I had actually dreamed up this outfit using my watercolor pants when I remembered this top in my closet, but these black and white pants are even BETTER for the outfit. One day it will be warm enough to go sans-sleeves, but for today, I needed a blazer and couldn't resist adding a little color. PS - Look at the cute buttons down the back!

Here's to hoping these pants will look just as cute with a slouchy tee and some loafers - because I love them. Target, please make more pants like this, in every color and print. KTHX!
