AJ Wears :: Black and white pants

Randomly last season, I decided I wanted pants that were black on back and white on front. I have no idea where on earth I got this idea or where I saw these pants, but when they magically appeared on Target's instagram a few weeks ago, I was on a mission (and I knew I wasn't crazy).

Then, Blair featured them as part of her Target style guide and I flipped. NOW EVERYONE IS GOING TO BUY THEM AND I'LL NEVER GET A PAIR. I couldn't find them anywhere at my own Target and all they had online was petite (although, that might have been what I needed).

Then magic of magic, the fashion gods were with me and I found a pair at the Target by my parents' house when I went home this weekend. I snatched them up and used my last $20 bill to secure them. I've already worn them once over the weekend with heels, but somehow when I went to look for shoes today I couldn't stop eying these ridonkulous cheetah wedge sneakers. These pants are already more versatile than I'd anticipated. I'm going to wear them every day.

AJ Wears :: Floral Pants

This is only my second time to wear these pants - I bought them, I loved them, and I had no idea what to do with them. But when these pretty purple shoes arrived, somehow I put the two together and fell in love.

I actually only picked these up after a number of my "shoe friends" (YES I HAVE SHOE FRANDS) showed them off and JF had a ridiculous 40% off sale. It was a total whim - but this adorable lilac pump has won my heart. They're ACTUALLY COMFORTABLE TOO - I'm not saying that in a, "compared to walking on fire" kind of way. I wore these to the mall tonight and this platform is actually tall enough that these feel like a mid-range heel. Love that (ps - I ordered 1/2 a size up).

Look! Matching earrings! I didn't even know I had these. Also, I let my hair go natural today for the first time in a few months. I know, it's shocking - my hair doesn't naturally arrange itself in perfect 1.5" barrel rolls without frizz by itself. Naturally, it's a mess even SJP wouldn't deal with, but I've embraced it and I'm glad to know it does SOMETHING when I don't feel like doing anything.

AJ Wears :: Stripes with Lace

This might be one of those outfits that looked better in my head, or at least better in person. I'm okay with that.

I wore this to book club. I'm in a book club. I'm not sure anyone even reads the books, we just get together and have a glass and eat fantastic food (Trio's this week...amazing!) but it's a fabulous little group of girls and I'm glad they took me in.

And I have no idea what my husband had said to me there to make me make that face, but you're welcome. Also, it shows off my spin pin bun which I was very proud of. I'm thinking I like the spin pins, although it's kind of lame I can only make buns with them.
