What I Wore :: Elevator Pants

After about a zillion pins of hunter green pants/jeans, I decided I had to get some for myself. I was ordering a sweater from Forever anyway that I couldn't find in store, and needed like $27 more dollars, so I picked up these Life In Progress skinny chinos.

Tonight we made the short drive out to Conway to watch people do elevator pitches at a competition called "Gone in 60 Seconds" (we've done this before). It's actually a very cool event for local entrepreneurs and tech start-up junkies. Plus, they had food. Chicken parm sammies, yummmm.

Freaking love these pants. I was expecting jeans, so the softer material was a nice surprise and the deep green is just gorgeous. Plus, zipper pockets and up the ankles? Love that! I'm hoping to get a few wears out of them this year. I ordered a size down as suggested, and I suspect they'll stretch to the perfect size after one more wear. Also come in Berry and Amber.

My latest flats from Sole Society - I've been jealous of Sandra's Me Too pointy flats forever now, so when I saw these bowed shiny studded dotted adorable nude flats, I had to snatch them up. Good thing, too. They're fabulous and wonderful and I love them. NEW STAPLE, YAY! Plus they were free after a huge Sole Society contest fiasco, so double yay.

What I Wore :: Bar Bites

Today's outfit has a few familiar pieces to it - I know you've seen the flats before, and I've worn this jacket and these jeans in recent posts. And you might be seeing a lot of repeats over the next few days, actually - we're moving! I'm currently in the process of boxing up all of my dresses and heels to get ready to move into our new home.

Tonight we hit up Bravo! for some bar bite appies and a Sam Adams Octoberfest - you can basically get a burger and fries for $3.95 from 4-7 (score!). After that, a walk-thru of our new house and a trip to Target. Yep, it's all excitement over here.

Still loving these Sole Society Kirby flats for every day glam. I'm trying to grow my flat collection, because I'm reaching for them again and again for every day errands and things. But I find it hard to find cute ones I really like. So when I find a pair that really pulls a whole outfit together and makes it feel polished, I snap them up. I'm eyeing a couple more pairs from SS right now, actually!

Anyway, it's almost like an impromptu 30 for 30! Remix!! I'm so looking forward to setting up a new closet and having a ton of room for all of my shoe babies.

What I Wore :: In the Trenches

We were shocked to come back from Mexico (90's) to cool, crisp temps in Little Rock (45 when we landed! eek!). I have been pushing fall for weeks now, but it finally feels like it's here.

I like to layer up this time of year, as it tends to be warm inside and cool outside. Not cold, mind you, so this light trench with 3/4 length sleeves was perfect for my errands this afternoon (a little light grocery shopping and a trip to the mall).
My low ballerina bun had me feeling a little flightier than normal, so this skirted tunic felt appropriate to balance the menswear feel of the trench.

We also need to talk about these booties - JustFab of course - I love the mixed textures, the cute little cuff, and the sexy vibe of them. You may remember my mentioning that booties are perfect for transitioning seasons - these are what I was talking about.

Trench, Old Navy (similar). Leggings, Limited. Tunic I have no idea but here's a cute skirted one, booties, JustFab. Bag, Botkier for Target (love the color? love this Coach!)
