Friday Favorites Remix :: The Chambray Shirt

Happy Friday! So, the question of the year is - are we tired of chambray yet? I know it won't be around forever, but right now it really feels like a classic or a staple piece to me. YEAR ROUND, in fact. It's perfect for layering, and fun to play with because it's like wearing jeans on your top parts.

Oooh, GPOYF. Look how aloof I am. Look how I almost seem surprised that this picture was taken, even though I took it myself with a tripod and a remote. Actually, I really do take a lot of mistake pictures so it's possible I didn't even know what was happening. Ooh, pretty scarf (H&M. Didn't see it online but it's a recent purchase so check in store).

What I'm saying is, I love mine, and I've worn it like a zillion ways....which you can see right here.

How did you guys remix it up this week? Link up below!

AJ Wears :: A dotted blazer

I LOVE DOTS U GUIZE. Seriously, it's been the year of dots (every year previously has been the year of stripes. This year is still the year of stripes too). I picked this blazer up the same time I got the vertical striped one at Gap, so 40% off clearance = cheap blazer. I thought it would be easier to style than it has been, though. I keep wanting to match things to the green cuffs because they're cute.

So if y'all have any styling suggestions for a chambray polka dot blazer, let me know! I'm open to all suggestions because I really want it to work. I love it. It's just adorable.

In other news, I kind of wish my bangs were grown out so I could wear my hair parted in the middle for a while. I know that once it gets cold, I'll be jonesing for some blunt bangs again but for now, I'm bored and would love something a little different. I've been faking it this week! Still waiting for my hair to get long enough to do loose curls. Might need a smaller curling iron. SO MANY ISSUES TODAY.

Blazer, Gap (the fall version).
Skirt, Forever 21.
Wedges............I DUNNO THE 90S???? Look how short!

AJ Wears :: Seersucker shorts

If the weather is below 90 at all, I try to do something interesting with my outfit. Especially if I'm going from AC house to AC car to AC Target. 90+ and you'll find me in shorts and a tank or a sleeveless dress, so if I can make it interesting just a few days this summer, I'm going to.

Today's ensemble is simple enough - my most comfortable shorts (seriously, bordering on pajamas) with chambray (staple - duh) and a little color. I went and picked up some sandals I'd been keeping an eye on at Marshall's and got a sandwich from Walmart, which was ultimately disappointing. The sandwich, not the sandals. Those are awesome and going on my trip to Austin this weekend.

Shorts, Forever 21 (exact).
Shirt, Old Navy (similar).
Blazer, Zara (similar).
Shoes, Sole Society.
