AJ Wears :: menswear

Girls in Menswear is like, SO in this fall, blah blah blah, mix feminine with masculine, doo be doo, MAKE IT WORK, only steal stuff from your boyfriend's closet if he's as skinny as you or you'll look weird, also this looks best on tall girls, etc etc etc - WHAT I'M SAYING IS, menswear (or as I like to call it, The Diane Keaton) has been a thing on women for basically forever. I've always liked the idea of "men style" pieces tailored for women, but it's nothing new. Today I wanted to play with these loafers at bit.

 I wore these last week (they traveled with me to California) but wanted to feature them more prominently this week because they're so darn cute. I've been wanting a pair of oxfords for a hot minute, and I liked that this pair is practical but still playful. I recommend going up 1/2 a size, because I really don't have room for socks and they rub a bit. They're not too bad, but I wish I'd ordered up. I'm looking forward to wearing them with tights when the weather cools off some day.

Oh, don't mind me. Just casually hanging out on the sidewalk in front of my house. Totally natural.

Friday Favorites Remix :: Black and White Blazer

Back to Life! Back to Reality! (omg click this) We'll end the week with a remix. Except, the past two weeks have kind of ALL been a remix so I just pulled from one of my recent Friday Faves and threw this blazer on.

I tend to dress this blazer up, so I kind of wish I'd tried flats or Chucks with today's remix after looking back at the other outfits. I should also try more color with it. That's why I love these remixes! They give me ideas!

How did you guys remix this week?? Link up below!

AJ Wears :: A tribal cardi

My Cali adventure is winding down...sigh! I'm going to miss being around so many amazing restaurants and so much great shopping. I was happy I packed this slouchy sweater for the SF leg of our trip as it tended to be windy and cold, especially at night.

 We did a host of other fun things I didn't even get to blog, like visit the Apple headquarters! BB's cousin works for Apple and invited us to come have lunch at the campus's cafeteria and shop at the store full of Apple HQ exclusive swag like tees, mugs, and pens. Tomorrow I'll have a full "What to Pack" post up for you guys so you can see what all went in my suitcase -and how I put everything together. Sigh...see you again soon, sometime, CA. We had a blast. Back to real life.
