The finale of my business casual series goes like this - there is always room for casual Friday. If your office allows you to wear jeans on Friday, GO FOR IT! But remember that jeans doesn't necessarily mean sloppy.
I love a colored denim and boyfriend blazer for casual Friday. It's still chic enough for the office but carries you right into Happy Hour that evening. If you're more of a flats girl around the water cooler, stow some heels in your purse or car for when you step out on the town. I like this tank top with the tiniest bit of bling at the top; the sequins add a little Friday night spice.
The details make all the difference in a great work-to-weekend look. I stacked a rhinestone bracelet with two more casual ones for a bit of flare. So where to wear outside of work? Well, I took my outfit to the patio of Bravo for some great Italian food and then for a stroll around the Promenade shops. And if you think the club will be calling your name with no time to change, pick a fun top to go under your blazer for the day and shed it before you go. What makes a casual Friday look work is comfort and versatility - just have fun with it!
I'm sure I'll tackle more office appropriate looks in the future, whether I'm working at one or not. Hopefully this little mini-series helped someone realize that dressing for the work week should be more fun and less daunting. I know for me, I'm much more motivated if I dressed to conquer the day!
