I’ve worn a short suit on the blog before, 1000 years ago. This one happened quite by accident, though. I bought the shorts at Zara when I was in San Diego in March, and the blazer from Asos in July. I was absolutely tickled when I realized they would match. Because the short suit is perfect for days when it’s too hot for pants but you still wanna be business cazzzsssh. How do you spell shortened casual? The world may never know.
Did you look up one day and wonder where the heck everyone on Instagram got a leopard silk skirt? Me too. I’m assuming it’s because this particular brand sent their ($200!) skirt to everyone to post about. The side of my brain that has seen The Devil Wears Prada 500 times knows it’s probably because some large brand showed them at Fashion Week, because now there’s a bias skirt in every shop you come across.
Don’t care either way, it’s an instant outfit, breezy for summer, and super cute. I picked mine up for $20 at Forever 21 because girl gets that it’s a fleeting trend and I’m not gonna spend hundreds on it.
Speaking of fleeting trends, I’ll address the sport sandals too. I don’t know why I’m so partial to them. They’re horrifying and weird, but I LOVE the funky casual look (doesn’t hurt that they’re super comfy too). I blame Prada and the fact that I slid into my mid-30s this summer. Next stop: Muumuu city.
Still catching up on all of the outfits I never posted on here. Mostly so I can pin them, and link items I think you guys might like. Definitely to justify the $10 a month I spend on hosting.
Like this one, that I wore to work, even though it’s probably a little extra for work and any qualified business casual expert would say that a spaghetti strap is completely inappropriate for the office.
But as I said on Instagram. Anything can be work wear if you just don’t care. You do you, bb.
