AJ Wears :: A "Car Wash" Skirt

Go ahead, use this opportunity to belt out "WORKIN' AT THE CAR WASH!" right now. I'll wait.

🎶 Toot toot yeeeeaaaahhhh, beep beep! 🎶

Yep, apparently skirts that look like those strips of fabric at the car wash are a thing. Now that we've gotten that out of the way, I'm pretty sure skirt + turtleneck is the answer to office Christmas parties. It's not so out there that you can't wear it to work, but it's just festive enough to transition to the party if you can't go home first.

Of course, if your office holiday party was anything like...well, all of them, no one remembers what you wore anyway. Cheers!

Skirt, Cinq À Sept (rent it // buy it - on sale!)
Turtleneck, Nordstrom (similar).
Heels, Manolo Blahnik (exact // similar under $40!).

AJ Wears :: A Floral Dress

I hope everyone had a lovely Thanksgiving! We spent our time down in Texas with my family, and I can tell you right now - I did not eat enough TexMex while I was there. Not even close.

I hopped back onto the Rent the Runway Unlimited wagon this month when I needed a few dresses for some parties/galas/etc, and since I didn't get a chance to wear this one to the event for which it was intended it came to Texas with me. Thanks to the super stretch scuba material, I couldn't even tell if I'd gained any turkey weight.

Dress, Erin Erin Fetherston (rent it // buy it - I'm wearing the 8)
Heels, ShoeDazzle or JustFab or something.
Bag, Louis Vuitton.

AJ Wears :: A Patterned Dress

Patterns are tricky beasts, man. I have no idea why someone would make a dress where the pattern seemed to expand from the middle out, making any wearer automatically look more pregnant, but here we are.

I originally intended to wear this dress to a fashion event tonight, but when my friends bailed I decided there's no such thing as "too fancy for work." When someone asks you what you're all dressed up for, the most appropriate answer is always, "LIFE."

Bonus fun fact: The waist of this dress is actually sheer, but since my boobs ate it, it's totes works appropes! #bloggerhacks
