I never knew fake hair could completely unlock my alter ego. I went from normal AJ to Real Housewives of Little Rock ready in like, 30 seconds. I swung this thing around all day long, living my best Ariana Grande life. I’m convinced fake hair gives you super powers. I’ve already ordered two more ponies because I also discovered it’s the best way to distract people from dirty hair. THAT’S the real super power.
A couple of things.
A) I struggled with this beret. I was thinking, “Oh, I’m so cool, look at me with my quelle femme féroce vibe in my little hat.” And then when I saw the photos, it looked all wrong, propped up on the back of my head like a marshmallow floating in cocoa. Later observation of some far cooler girls on Pinterest led me to realize that it’s supposed to go closer to my forehead. You know, like a hat.
B) I also feel the need to confess that I never wore this jacket. I took it with me when I left the house, thinking perhaps it was colder than it was. But when I tried to put it on for the photos, I was thwarted by tiny arm holes fighting against my sweater sleeves. So here I am, draping it casually over my shoulders in the ultimate blogger power move. The color looked good with the outfit in photos and what is blogging if not a big fat lie? I could make a career out of Photoshopping trees out of the back of pictures and making my arms look a little thinner (JUST FOR ME, OKAY??). Victoria’s Secret catalog, call me.
3. Remember that time I tweeted about walking my dog with a purse strap? This is that purse, and that is why there is no shoulder strap on this purse. We couldn’t find Zoey’s leash so I grabbed this as a substitute. It never found its way back to the purse. C’est la vie.

We've come to the point where normal boots look too short to me now. It shouldn't be that way for a short girl, but I love boots that go over the knee SO much that my normal knee-high boots have been tucked to the back of my closet (or given to my sister). After stalking these for two months on Asos, one pair finally popped back into stock. The model in the photo had a full gap all the way around her thighs when she had the boots on, but whatever. I still love them.
I'd also like to make a note about this skirt, since it came from Forever 21. I've been increasingly surprised by their quality as of late. This skirt was available in waist sizes, not just the standard S-M-L and is a thicker material than things I've gotten there in the past. While this particular skirt doesn't seem to be available online anymore, items in store seem to go out later than they're available online and you can probably still find it in store. The items that tend to be higher quality are from the F21 Contemporary label. I'm seeing them shift to more of an H&M selling style now, with slightly higher-quality items sold for a little more mixed in with the uber cheap $3 t-shirts.
