AJ Wears :: A Pink Suede Jacket

Can we talk about how thrilled I was with the weather this week? Buying a suede ANYTHING in Arkansas this close to summer is a serious gamble (and probably a little dumb), but you gotta think ahead. Things sell out. The world moves on, and I'm minus one super cute pink suede moto jacket. But Mother Nature threw me a bone and I actually got to don this on a beautiful April day.

If you want to talk about the bag too, we can. I've been admiring the Jimmy Choo biker bag for years now, "hearting" on Poshmark and stalking the internet looking for a deal. My diligence finally paid off - I managed to find a well-loved Biker and only paid $200 for it! Not only is this style not sold anymore, these things went for $1500 new! I think we can safely call this the deal of the year.

Heels, JustFab.
Bag, Jimmy Choo via Poshmark (shop gently loved Bikers on Posh!).

AJ Wears :: A Faux Suede Skirt

People, I think I've found it. JustFab sent me the perfect transition piece for fall. Since it's faux suede, it's light enough for these days the weather still goes up to 80° .

Skirt, c/o JustFab (Shop more suede skirts on Shopbop).
Heels, c/o JustFab.
Sweater, Forever 21 (similar - I'm wearing large).
Bag, Clare V (shop all of her clutches!).

PS!! My Shopbop Sale order came in and I am in L-U-V.

So I have a bit of a Stuart Weitzman problem, I admit it. But these Stuart Weitzman booties are just the perfect basic bootie, especially for fans of the Highland who don't always want to squeeze their calves into those. I'm also a big lover of the Nudist Heels - I bought it in one of the nude shades a few years ago - so buying it in black seemed like the next logical step. I wore them with jeans and a flannel on Saturday night and felt much cooler than I actually am. Anyone else get some gems from the sale?

AJ Wears :: A Suede Coat

When I bought this coat in Dallas this weekend, I guess I forgot that I'd recently bought a camel blazer. And when I put together this outfit, I guess I also forgot that I basically wore said camel blazer with this same shirt. And boots. If anything, this will dispel any rumors that I never wear anything more than once.

And by the way...it's the most wonderful sale of the year!

That's right, Shopbop's buy more, save more sale is here, the infamous sale that I used to buy my Alexander Wang Rocco for hundreds below the original price. Spend $250+, get 15% off. Spend $500+, you'll get 20%. And orders over $1000 are 25% off! You may want to check your math if you're close to the next tier, because I basically got a ring for free by adding it to my bag and bumping up to the 25% off. I mostly use these sales to purchase higher-stake items like boots or bags, so here's what I'm thinking of splurging on this time around:

1. Joie Barlow Booties: I've loved this simple style for a few years - I even have a similar pair in faux suede. This sale is the perfect time to pull the trigger on the upgrade, which drops them down to under $300.

2. The Alexander Wang Mini Rockie: When I saw this bag in person, I almost died it was so cute! I never felt that the Rockie was that much smaller than the Rocco, in fact, I found it kind of an odd size. The Mini is a perfect tiny bag and would be only $476 with the 20% off.

3. A Salvatore Splurge: If you've been eyeing any designer bags on Shopbop, this is a good sale to consider since there aren't brand restrictions. That 25% discount on $1000+ can add up to a lot of saved dough! As always, I recommend buying something classic you can carry for years when you buy expensive pieces, so Ferragamo is always a good choice for timeless pieces.
