AJ Wears...Sweater

The weather in Arkansas is starting to get "fall-like," as my morning meteorologist puts it. Not fall weather entirely, because that would be unheard of in the south. Just "fall-LIKE" weather, that is sometimes like fall and sometimes sweater appropriate.

So today, look at my weird sweater. It's got a lot of potential but swallows me a little. Clearly, my SheIn picks this month were a little all over the place (see: junk food shirt coming tomorrow), but I like to take risks when someone is sending me a piece to review and choose something I wouldn't normally try. I will say that the sweater is pretty well-made and has a really interesting shape to it, so I may try to alter it to fit my style a little better.

AJ Wears :: A Stripe Coat

It's the most confusing time of the year. Inside of my office, it could easily pass as Antartica. Outside, September is clamoring to be the fourth month of summer. So it may seem odd that I'm wearing a sweater coat right now, but hear me out. While I don't wear it out of the office, inside it's a lifesaver! I've been throwing a layer in my bag when I leave in the morning so I can survive eight hours at the North Pole.

Hilariously enough, it's also freezing in my office in the winter. Christmas gift idea: space heater.

Here's how I looked outside. Simple, comfortable, and most importantly...cool.

AJ Wears :: A Lace Dress

One of the cool things about being a blogger is that we're occasionally sent products to try out from different companies. Since I really should be writing more shop reviews, today's dress comes from SheIn (formerly SheInside). I have definitely bought a few things from them in the past; mostly delicious drapey sweaters for fall and winter. They reached out to see if I'd like to style something from their store, and I chose this gorgeous sheer + lace number that looks suspiciously close to this dress I saw on AP (which is definitely over $600).

Overall, I was really impressed with the quality. It's much shorter than the original, but it seemed to be pretty well made considering the price. This style runs quite small though, so I ended up passing it along to my sister since it felt a little tight across my chest. She was throughly freaked out that they magically had matched my skin color with all of the lining, but happy to take it off my hands nonetheless.
