I have a hard time endorsing any of the shady (usually foreign) clothing websites. Quality is lacking, shipping takes forever, and sizes are all over the board. But let's face it, they can be a GREAT source for something super cheap and unique. So occasionally, I'll take a leap of faith and hope it pays off. This time it did - not only was the shipping crazy fast, this skirt is actually a winner. It's a great dupe for this Tibi number I always regretted not splurging on, but for like...$15. When midi skirts go out, I'll probably have it hemmed above the knee and just keep on wearing it.
Happy Friday! Say it with me...THREE. DAY. WEEKEND! I love a three day weekend. You can brunch hard on Sunday and still have Monday to lay by the pool. Today's ensemble is a simple one: a comfy dress in a midi shape (can't stop, won't stop) and a denim jacket because last time I checked, the strapless look wasn't office approved. You know what is office approved? Freakin' polka dots.
I snagged this skirt for $15 on super clearance from ASOS back in January. It was one of those "Buy now, wait 6 months until you can wear it" kind of things (anyone else do that?). Then as I sat on the floor steaming it this morning, I thought to myself, "WHY WOULD I BUY SUCH A LARGE PIECE OF LINEN???" Because nothing says summer like linen. That's why.
Also, I took these photos as soon as I got to work this morning, before I could spill something on it. I'm basically wearing a white tablecloth. It's inevitable.
