AJ Wears :: The Cutest Slides Ever

You know when you walk into a store and just connect with something? I was at North Park in Dallas last week with my friend Candice, who had a gift card she wanted to spend at Michael Kors. I may have never gone in that store otherwise, which is a crying shame because I would have never found these shoes.

I'm fully on board for the slides trend. They don't rub your heels (like basically every other pair of flats I own), they're super comfy, and something about them just feels fresh. I may have already worn these almost every day since I bought them.

Bonus: Check out the Arthur-worthy fist I'm throwing up in the last photo.

Sweater, gift (maybe from Venus? Get the look using a Skinny Shirt, or shop similar here).
Jeans, Old Navy.
Bag, Alexander Wang (super studded similar).
Flats, Michael Kors (exact).

AJ Wears :: Funky Flats

I'm falling for flats. HARD, you guys. I never thought I'd choose flats instead of heels, and yet here I am browsing bow flats online and pinning storage ideas for my growing collection. Is it because I'm getting older, or just because my days require so much walking around? My theory is that flats are having a moment right now and designers are branching out. Laces! Studs! Pointy toes!

This particular pair is so weird, I thought they just might work. As my sister put it, "They're like fall shoes you can wear in the summer." Most appropriate since we're about to start my Faking Fall series in a few weeks.

Top, Theory (exact).
Pants, Asos (exact - only $15!).
Flats, Rondy by JustFab (exact).
Bag, 3.1 Phillip Lim.
Necklace, BaubleBar.

AJ Wears : A Bright Shift

Once a month, there's a magical day at work we call "Fourth Friday." The fourth Friday of each month everyone at work gets to leave at 2 pm and do whatever they like, which for me was dropping by E.Leigh's for their big 3rd birthday party followed by wine with my friends at Leo's. I snagged the last one of this bright yellow dress, which as it turns out, is a great "all day" dress. We started at a baby gender reveal party and ended up at the new Heights Tacos & Tamales for dinner. And yup, it was delicious. In fact, I'm thinking about those tamales and mojitos right. now.

Dress, E.Leigh's (similar from boohoo).
Necklace, BaubleBar.
Bag, Michael Kors (version without hardware).
Sandals, Isola (this year's version).
