Even though I wasn't blogging in August and September that much, I did try and take lots of photos of my outfits. We're finally settling into our new place and my OOTD mirror gets a LOT more light, so I've been snapping photos before I go out or go to work to keep track.
It continues to be HOT in the South, quelle surprise, so I've been keeping it easy and breezy the past two months! As always, some links are affiliate links (which means I'll get a couple of cents if you click them or a referral if you buy!) but not all; I did my best to find similar items for any that are sold out, older items, or generally expensive.
First up: Went out for a sushi date in our neighborhood and I managed to glow up really quickly and felt cute, so here's my Saturday sushi outfit.
I actually did a lot of going out in September from watching the Hogs lose (outfit 1), eating at Dugan's almost once a week because it's across the street (outfit 2), and just general errands (outfit 3).
Outfit 1: Top, Asos (similar from Boohoo). Shorts, Belk (similar from Asos). Sandals, JustFab.
Outfit 2: Sweater, Old Navy (similar from XXI). Shorts, not sure but I cut them up myself (similar from SheIn). Booties, JustFab.
Outfit 3: Top, Loft (similar from Macy's). Jeans, Old Navy. Mules, Poshmark (exact, she accepts offers!).
A little #OOTN from dinner with my in-laws. I stalked this top when Eva Chen wore it on Instagram a couple of times and managed to snag the last one from Shopbop! It's by Whistles if you want to stalk it, but if you like the general style this one from Forever 21 is cute. Jeans are Old Navy, heels are Manolo, etc etc I am a creature of habit.
I also worked in September, and I've been trying to up my game a little when it comes to my work wear. I got sloppy in August and basically just wore a t-shirt and jeans every day, which is totally acceptable in a startup environment, but this month I tried to get back in the swing of things. Eventually I hope to be in bloggable fall outfits and taking photos on the reg.
Outfit 1: Top, Trina Turk. Cardigan, Elizabeth & Clark. Pants, Ann Taylor (similar from QVC). Heels, Manolo Blahnik.
Outfit 2: Top, Forever 21 (similar from Boohoo). Blazer, 3.1 Phillip Lim (similar from Mango). Skirt, JustFab (exact). Flats, Dillard's (similar from Boden).
Outfit 3: Top, Elizabeth & Clarke. Pants, The Limited. Heels, Manolo Blahnik (THEY'RE MY FAVORITE OKAY - Steve Madden actually has a great affordable dupe!)
If you've followed me for a while, you know my feelings on multiples. It just makes you look like you're wearing the exact same outfit in different colors. Here's a great example of that, since I bought the same pants in two different colors from Zara - but they're so breezy and comfy, I don't care. They're basically the only pants I can wear right now since it's still 90.
Another boring work outfit but my shoes were fun! Top, The Limited. Shoes, Zara. Pants, Old Navy.
And finally, we celebrated our sweet friends Jeff & Erin in September which meant getting decked out in our wedding finest. Since it was a backyard wedding, I went with a "sexy casual" vibe and BB is in all Express. Romper is from Asos - I ordered it for my trip to Mexico earlier this year and it's just dressy enough for evening (here's a similar option). Heels are Stuart Weitzman (similar for less from Asos)..
If you want to keep up with all of my outfits, make sure you follow me on Instagram - I've been snapping them to my stories every day when I remember. And if you miss one, I'll catch up with you again in October!
