Notice anything different?
No, it's not JUST that I managed to make a new blog post. I'm wearing mounds of fake hair today. I've always had a fair amount of curiosity around hair extensions, mostly because of an article I read once on how to get Playboy Bunny hair. I'm one of those people who cuts off all of my hair and immediately starts lamenting my longer tresses, so when Irresistible Me reached out and offered to send me a box of hair, I thought, Sure. Why not?
I decided to go for length instead of getting shorter strands just for volume, and wearing them out for the first time this week did make me feel kind of...self-conscious. It felt prissy and unnecessary at first, but then I realized having a veil of longer, thicker hair was giving me a super hero-type of effect. It was almost like being in disguise as myself, but a little better.
The only downside? These things take a lot of time to put in. I was definitely late for work. For anyone who might be wondering, I don't use all of the pieces. The silky touch set I was sent has about 10 wefts in it, but I only committed to using the large four clip, two two clips, and a onsie clip to fill in where I missed a spot. I'm thinking of trimming the other pieces I didn't use to my normal length to use for volume now! And yes, these can be custom colored but the ones I picked happened to match my color almost perfectly. That was a pleasant surprise that made wearing these extensions that much more enjoyable.
Will I rock these things again? Um, totally. One of my co-workers said I looked awesome with super long hair and should wear them every day, so any time I get up before 8:30 I'll have to put them in again.
