HAPPY HOLIDAYS! It's December and it's like a day and a half until Christmas so it's time to GET ON IT. I know you're going to read a zillion holiday gift guides this month, but mine is the best. It's the best because I hand picked all of this stuff for your awesome friends, relatives and everyone else on your list - all from The Promenade at Chenal!
For the lover of all things cozy:
I recently bought a new mattress and I am one who can attest to the power of spending a cozy night IN. The Sleep Number Store has more than just amazing beds - I loved this deliciously soft blanket and this tech pillow is the perfect way to lay back and read, watch movies, or whatever else you love.
For teachers, fabulous friends, and monogram lovers:
Anthropologie is a TREASURE TROVE of amazing initials! These are the perfect gifts for anyone you know the name of. I mean, how cute is that "M" book? And clutch? And mug?? And soap??? It's a great way to give a simple, personalized gift.
For the gadget geek:
As a self-professed gadget geek, I can vouch for EVERYTHING at the Apple Store. For the audiophile - Urban Ears headphones are a great price for good sound, and they come in a variety of bright colors (I'm a big fan of my earbuds from them). For the fashionista - a Kate Spade phone case is a great way to say "You're fab (and your phone deserves to stay in tact)".
For the kid at heart - I bought my husband a Sphero for his birthday and it's SO fun! It's a robot ball you can control with your iPad or iPhone - there are a ton of apps that interact with Sphero including games, augmented reality, and control panels. My "dad gift" pick is the Nest - a thermostat that learns your habits (like when you get home, if you turn down the thermostat at night, etc) and adjusts its schedule based on how you live. You can also control it from your phone, which is perfect for anyone who gets hot at night but hates getting out of bed to adjust the temperature.
Finally - I know it's on everyone's wishlist - but the iPad Mini is THE gift of the season. Now that it's available in retina display, it's kind of a no-brainer. PS - The Promenade is giving away TWELVE iPads this season so if you're worried Santa might not get your letters in time, get your very own during the 12 Days of Christmas Giveaway! You can get all of the details for the giveaway here.
For the fitness enthusiast:
I don't talk about it often, but I'm kind of a gym rat and love fitness gear. For the friend or family member who thinks running is fun, the Nike Factory Store is the perfect place to pick up some great gifts. I loved these bright trainers and the armband is perfect for runners who use their phone for a soundtrack or tracking their steps. And if you haven't jumped on board with wearable technology, you should! The Nike Fuel Band tracks your steps and helps you meet daily goals. You'll be surprised at how much (or how little) you move.
For the outdoorsy types:
Gearhead Outfitters is new to The Promenade and already a favorite of my husband's. If you're looking for a great variety of North Face, Patagonia, Nativ, and more outdoors-y type things, this is your spot! They have a great selection for men, women, and kids (and those hammocks you can hang at your campsite. Love those!).
For the foodie:
Strippaggio is one of my favorite new places in The Promenade. Not only is it a great place to pick up delicious artisan vinegars and oils, they have fun kitchen stuff as well! I picked out my favorites - the Corkcicle, which keeps your wine cold - an amazing cheese board that comes with everything you need to party - and the Bar10der, the "swiss army knife" for any cocktail enthusiast. Strippaggio also sells amazing gift sets of the main attraction - their delicious infused olive oils and vinegars.
For the beauty guru:
Okay, there are SO many gorgeous things at Belle & Blush, I didn't know what to include. I would live there if they'd let me! They have the gift game covered - from amazing Nest candles to I <3 NY perfume, to personalized cuffs and necklaces and gorgeous bags. Literally, you couldn't buy a bad gift there (and their bags + tissue are pretty enough that you don't even need to wrap!). But, I had to pick a favorite and it's Lipstick Queen - these sets are so fun for anyone who loves makeup and the lipstick lasts forEVER. Seriously, I wore mine for about 4-5 hours the other day and it looked perfect, even after a Diet DP and a gingerbread latte. Your girlfriends will thank you.
Perfect Stocking Stuffers:
Finally, J.Crew is the perfect place to find stocking stuffers for the whole family. For her: we loved this gorgeous scarf, gloves, and classic pearl necklace. For him, nothing beats cozy socks and slippers, and a little something to warm him up (btw - it says going, going, gone on the side - too cute!).
SO! Those are my picks from The Promenade at Chenal for holiday gifts. Seriously, while we were putting together this blog post I pretty much finished my Christmas shopping for my husband and family. And the good news is - if you need any help picking something out, everyone is more than willing to help you find that perfect gift.
This post was sponsored by The Promenade at Chenal. I have to tell you that for legal reasons, but I picked all of this stuff out (and want it, or want to give it) and I'd shop there anyway, so it's a legitimate recommendation from an expert shopper.
