AJ Wears :: A Blue Suit

I've been obsessed with The Bold Type since Hulu recommended it to me a few months ago. If you haven't picked up this show yet, it's like The Devil Wears Prada: The TV show. The fashion is awesome, the storylines are interesting, and the characters are lovable. Yes, even Jan from The Office - she's actually one of the coolest people on the whole show, playing Jaqueline, the editor-in-chief of the magazine where they all work. She's what Miranda Priestly would have been if she'd been allowed to show feelings (or have half a heart).

I'm feeling very Bold Type today. I saw a video of a girl in a blue suit recently and immediately thought, "Oh hey, I need a bright suit." I actually picked this one up from JustFab of all places (it comes in pink too!) and immediately felt like a Jaqueline-meets-HRC vibe. I mean, I only went to work and Happy Hour, but I'm ready to run whatever business you may need me to. Lemme know.

Side note: I also have been VERY inspired by The Bold Type to up my wardrobe game going into fall. I'm talking colors, I'm talking patterns, I'm talking weird puffy sleeves. I filled a cart full of Jane, Kat, and Sutton inspired tops so get ready for some realllllll weirdness up on the blog.

AJ Wears :: Wide Navy Pants

Y'all know I love full disclosure. These pants didn't zip all the way up today. So I found a shirt that would cover the zipper, and I went to work, because I'm fabulous and I don't need my pants to zip. I got these pants in NICE, FRANCE, yo. Pretty sure people are a lot smaller there because they only eat cheese and bread or something. Am I gonna let slightly small pants ruin my day? No way, Rosé.

Most people complimented my shirt anyway.

AJ Wears :: One Blazer, Two Ways

Another twofer coming your way, peeps! JustFab sent me this blazer to review and I could not resist the opportunity to show it two ways. That's because it is, in fact, a two-way blazer! One quick zip and it goes from a slouchy boyfriend blazer to a sleek short one.

Look 1: Weekend

For a polished weekend look, I wore it long with jeans and flats. I absolutely love the color. I may have the sleeves shortened because I like a 3/4 length, but for now I just rolled them up.

Look 2: Work Week

I had a presentation last week and I knew I wanted to wear this dress; it's long enough that I don't have to worry about flashing anyone, and the short sleeves are better for any pointing at the screen I was going to do (no one comes to work to see your armpits). So I threw this jacket on with it and realized the length was no good with the length of the dress. In my head, it worked, but in real life I looked kind of frumpy. No worries there, I just unzipped the bottom of the jacket and made it into a cute little blazer.
