Man Style :: How to rock the tie and sweater

Greetings, bloggies! Today I have a little something special for you. We're getting BB out from behind the camera and into the spotlight for a little man fashion (mashion?) today.

 The style world, after all, is not all about the ladies. Many men are even fashion blogging (Terry! Where you at?!). When we were shopping the other day, BB found this fabu sweater from Banana and put together this cute handsome outfit for the men who read my blog (or so some of you ladies can get some Christmas shopping ideas?).

 Seriously, one of my favorite looks for a guy. Layers are hard to mess up on a man, so the more the merrier! Keep it well-fitting to avoid looking like you're about to rob someone. Think ties are just for suits and church? Think again. A tie under a more casual piece like this half-zip sweater is a cool look for fall. Same thing with the button up - I'm sure this looks fine with a tee, but why go halfway?

What do you think? Don't we want to see what else BB can come up with?

What I Wore :: Elephants on Parade

I love the silly printed sweater trend this season (already did it once here). So someone please stop me, I'm going to buy all of them. This one has elephants all over it. It's such a delight. I tried it on and visited it weekly at Forever before finally committing to the VERY LAST ONE when I went shopping last week to reward myself for voting (treat yo self).

I mean, come on. LOOK AT IT. It's a perfect fun color, it's deliciously soft, and the elephants are fun and cute and whatever, I love it. Just add a faux color (this ones from JewelMint - how genius, right?) and whatever you want on bottom. Literally. Pretty sure this sweater goes with everything.

I chose studded loafers in a luscious teal because I was in straight lounging mode all day and wanted to keep comfy. These are definitely the comfiest shoes I own - and some of the sassiest. Great combo, I think. More comfy shoes should be sassy. And boyfriend jeans - because let's face it, it's one step away from wearing pajama pants.

What I Wore :: I Voted!

Today, I voted for the first time. I know, I know. I have been of legal voting age for three elections, but the first time I was out of the country (no excuse, but I really didn't care back then). Then last election, I registered to vote, and they sent me a voter registration card...three days after the election (super helpful). So this time around, I was excited to exercise my right. It seriously made my whole day better. I felt so powerful.

Anyway, did anyone else feel the need to dress patriotically? The red, white, and blue outfit can come off almost cartoonish at times (I went through several outfit drafts) but navy with red can actually be quite nice. I wasn't sure if our lines would look anything like Florida's so I chose my most comfortable flats and we went to vote and get hot dogs. Very AMERICAN RIGHT?

Now, we wait. I'm making a pizza and planning to drink from our "Four More Beers" pint glasses this evening while BB nervously checks every news outlet and overdoses on election coverage. I'm proud of all of you who voted, now that I understand how important it is.
