Take One, Day 24 :: Striped Tee

It's my LAST DAY of Take One, Pass it on! *sob* I passed my black and white striped tee for today's outfit. It doesn't show the best part in today's outfit, which is this fantastic little chiffon hem. I first spotted it on the XXI website and then snatched it up when I stumbled on it in the store. Did I need another striped tee? NO SHUT UP. I did not. But I love wearing the ones I have so much, I figured one with a fun little detail like this to add to the rotation would be nice. Anyway, I wanted to really show the versatility of the shirt in true take one style by tucking it in.

You may have noticed, I pulled the booties from my very first Take One look to remix with this look - with that, we have come full circle. I'll recap all of the outfits and my thoughts on the whole experience tomorrow, but for now, just take in all of these delicious stripes and ponder why I can't seem to wear these boots with anything but purple. You can also play "find the pug hair" or try and figure out why anyone would make a skirt where the lining shows through like it does. So many games while you wait.

Take One, Day 20 :: Office Chambray

This could be called a "day to night" look of sorts, because after a day of patios and shopping, I threw on this skirt with my chambray shirt and went to a work reception and dinner. I like easy work looks that don't look too stuffy for going out after, and I'd say this fit the bill pretty well. Also, hello, it's Austin and I want to fit in so I wore a denim shirt. Thanks to a mid-day costume change, this is also the first time I've actually gotten ahead in this challenge and got to schedule a post. So I already know what I'm wearing for the next remix - it's kind of like knowing the future.

Surprise leopard heels! I love these wedges because they're very comfortable, and all business in the front, party in the back.

Shirt, Old Navy.
Skirt, TJ Maxx or Marshall's or something. It was like $4 20 million years ago
Belt, Goodwill (one of my favorite finds ever)
Shoes, ShoeDazzle.

Earrings, Rio Bravos by JewelMint.

What I Wore :: Snake Pants!

When I was getting ready today, my husband literally asked me, "What's up with those pants?"

I said, "they're snake print" and that was the end of that conversation. I did not need to add that I know that they're ridiculous, and I'll probably only wear them this year, and that they're ridiculous (again) and that I know they're total man repellers. Unnecessary.
See, sometimes as girls we wear ridiculous things. We don't need to explain it, we don't have to have a reason. I like to take fashion risks and do something different. Seeing these in photos, I'm not sure the print is compatible with my thighs, but I had to try it. I'd actually seen an outfit on Pinterest with b/w snake denim and I knew that I could recreate the look with what I had in my closet. Mission accomplished. I sure tried.

And here's a picture where I'm laughing (so Taylor Swift, right?) because I'm convinced that BB is making fun of my pants. He swears he wasn't. Whatever.
